Welcome to the new home of the OOC chatter post, in our brand new community dedicated to all of your OOC shitposting needs! We're going to start off very rules and moderation lite and see how things go.

1) You can post and comment here with any journal you own, i.e. CDJs, character journals from any game, etc. You don't need to join the comm in order to comment, but you can if you want.

2) We will do our best to continue putting up new chatter posts here whenever the old ones get close to filling up.

3) If for whatever reason, you'd like to make a new post in campers, you can!

And also: Please put a subject line in your comments to help people sort through conversations!

life's been a BUCKET of STRESS for me lately and i'm having a hard time focusing on almost anything but writing
so i'd love some new stuff to look at if there's something you've particularly been loving~

i just have a couple
film(s):

• The Endless (2017) + Resolution (2013) //
  lovecraftian sci fi kinda horror!! meta?! interesting relationships!
  i think Resolution definitely technically is the prequel but time does funky things in the story
  & i actually recommend watching it second :u
  ANYWAY something spooky is up in the woods and there's a cult hanging around and definitely a dimensional error of a monster and hmm
  i'm still thinking about these movies days after watching them.

  indie character study kinda film w timothee chalamet in it? it's on netflix. i enjoyed this way more than i thought i would
  & i kind of feel like some of you would too! a teacher takes some kids on a field trip to a drama competition. what is growing up?!?!?

i can't get my brain to latch onto anything but YA stuff lately, so!!

Elvis investigates the strange circumstances of her mother's death and finds comfort, if not answers, in the people (and animals) of Freedom, Alabama." this book made me cry buckets but i LOVE elvis as a narrator. i can't recommend it enough if you find the synopsis even vaguely interesting.

My coworker just informed me that the only time she ever left the country was when she went to New Mexico. I thought MAYBE she just said New Mexico on accident, so I was trying to ask her where she went (like what city) and this conversation followed:

Her: I don't know, I just know it was somewhere in New Mexico!
Me: Well... then you didn't leave the U.S. Because, you know, New Mexico is in the United States.
Her: Maybe it was Old Mexico then, but I coulda swore it was New Mexico. We had to cross a border crossing, don't you have to cross a border crossing to New Mexico?
Me: Do you have to cross a border crossing to get into Georgia?
Her: No, why?
Me: Then you don't have to to get into New Mexico. Considering it's a state.
Her: Well, it was a long time ago, I was a teenager. This was in the 70's, maybe it wasn't a state then.
Me: Oh, it definitely was.
Her: Maybe it was just regular Mexico then. I just know it was really dirty and I never wanted to go back.

Tabletop August

Hey guys it's JJ your friend local GM/giant idiot. Does anyone want to do some tabletop gaming in August like we did with D&D last year? I'm thinking Powered by the Apocalypse games. Monsterhearts and Monster of the Week are the two I'm interested in running one-off games for, so if you'd be interested in either/both those things let me know here? 5~ ish players per session is ideal.
