OOC CHATTER POST #14

Welcome to the new home of the OOC chatter post, in our brand new community dedicated to all of your OOC shitposting needs! We're going to start off very rules and moderation lite and see how things go.

1) You can post and comment here with any journal you own, i.e. CDJs, character journals from any game, etc. You don't need to join the comm in order to comment, but you can if you want.

2) We will do our best to continue putting up new chatter posts here whenever the old ones get close to filling up.

3) If for whatever reason, you'd like to make a new post in

I'm having a super bad day (which I will absolutely dish on When I get a free second) but I'm thinking about maybe doing a midweek rabbit night tonight to help me cope. If enough people are free we could maybe do cloak and dagger or if we wanna do that together I'll just stream something dumb and fluffy

I may not be around for long because time differences, but I will show up to give you a virtual hug.

ah finally, my lunch break

what happened is that at SDCC a good irl friend of mine made an ass of herself at the voltron legendary defenders panel by essentially haranguing the cast and crew about their creative choices during the open Q&A session despite, uh, wanting to work in the animation industry. afterwards she decided to tell me that someone was impersonating(?) her on twitter? I guess? and that she hadn't done anything wrong, and i spread that information among our friend group.

afterwards it came out that she'd pretty badly mistreated a bunch of people and has a tendency to cozy up to people for favors, which i think is more or less what she'd been doing to me (for industry connections). all our industry friends were pretty appalled by her conduct at the panel and i was worried that the way i'd been defending her all weekend because i thought it was an impostor. but there's like, video of her doing it, so. lmao.

i was mostly concerned that this was going to reflect poorly on me and damage my professional reputation as well, but that seems to not be the case, so i've been talked down off that cliff. just kind of smarting from the realization that someone i thought was a good friend was using me in a way that could have badly impacted my own career if it had gone south later/in a different fashion.

if you love drama there's a ton of shit up at here, and it's a wild trip

Augh :( That is awful. I'm sorry that that happened to you. Being manipulated by people you think are your friends is absolutely heartbreaking. Good that your own reputation is intact, at least. Thankful she couldn't do more damage.
