OOC CHATTER POST #14

Welcome to the new home of the OOC chatter post, in our brand new community dedicated to all of your OOC shitposting needs! We're going to start off very rules and moderation lite and see how things go.

1) You can post and comment here with any journal you own, i.e. CDJs, character journals from any game, etc. You don't need to join the comm in order to comment, but you can if you want.

2) We will do our best to continue putting up new chatter posts here whenever the old ones get close to filling up.

3) If for whatever reason, you'd like to make a new post in [community profile] campers, you can!

And also: Please put a subject line in your comments to help people sort through conversations!

MotW at least is much less number crunchy than d&d and more about storytelling. I have no clue about monsterhearts though

Monsterhearts is even more character/story driven than MotW!

Extremely, mechanically speaking. They're meant to be learned and played in an afternoon and everything you need to play your character is on one sheet of paper. The main mechanic of the game is basically describing what you want your character to do, which can be a little... not difficult but I guess scary? To do if you've never done it before. But if you want you could listen in on the first game and play in the second if you're feeling it!

Good to know! And thank you! ♥

Honestly, I think most of my tabletop fretting comes more from the...immediacy of it and the group setting of it? Having to put my stupid ideas into audible words in front of other humans on the spot is more different than getting to write something out and then agonize over it as needed before I actually respond. :') But it's fun once I can stop being a crazy person.

OKAY. Count me in please?
